By air
If you are travelling by air then the nearest airport to reach the beach is the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. From there the beach is located 40 km away in the outskirts of the city. You can reach the beach in about 1 hour and 25 minutes from the airport via Western Express Highway. It would be convenient to hire a cab or else take a taxi to reach Gorai Beach from the airport.
By train
If you are travelling by train then the major railway stations to reach the beach are the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus and the Mumbai Central Railway Station. From Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus the beach is 62.4 km away and it would take around 2 hours and 10 minutes to reach there. And from the Mumbai Central Railway Station the distance is 55.9 km and you can reach the beach in about 2 hours. From both the railway stations you can take taxis or take a cab to reach the beach conveniently.
In the case of the local railway station the Borivali Railway Station is the nearest railway station. From the Borivali Railway Station the beach is 23 km away and you can reach there in about 1 hour. Also the Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and the Bandra Terminus are important suburban railway stations as well.
By road
The Mumbai Central bus depot is the nearest bus stop located at a distance of 38 km. You can get buses from various locations like Pune, Nasik, Aurangabad etc to reach here. Also you can take cabs or take a taxi as well to travel here from different locations as well.
By ferry

Best time to visit
The ideal time to visit this beach would be from October to March as the temperature remains comfortable during this time period.
